Zenfolio’s latest: Enhanced favorites, folders, pricing & more!
June 2nd, 2025
Managing sessions, responding to client requests, and organizing all that comes with running your own photography business…it can all start to pile up faster than the unedited RAW files in your Lightroom library. That’s why our latest batch of feature updates and upgrades is designed to make the client experience smoother and create a more straightforward, more manageable process for you behind the scenes.
Let’s dive into what’s new, what’s improved, and how Zenfolio can help make your life a whole lot easier.

Favorites: Love one, or love them all!
Clients can now save, manage, and even purchase their favorite images across multiple galleries, all from one convenient location. Whether you’re a photographer managing several galleries for a school or sports event, or a portrait photographer working with returning clients who have had a few sessions, this improved favorites experience makes it more simple for everyone.
Clients can log in, create multiple sets of their most loved images, and keep everything organized. On your end, it’s easier than ever to see their top choices and communicate one-on-one for proofing or sales-related inquiries.

Folder Contacts & Sharing: Customer communication, upgraded!
Photographing a large event is a ton of work, but the admin and communication after can seem even more overwhelming!
With our new folder-based contact features, you can now upload and manage contacts at the folder level and send emails to everyone at once. If you’re handling a dance recital, a sports league, or a wedding, this will be the ultimate time-saver—no more copy-pasting email addresses from one gallery to another, or from an endless Excel roster spreadsheet.
For photographers lucky enough to work with the same client over multiple shoots (a family over a baby’s first year, for example), this makes communication absolutely seamless. Grandparents, aunties, and friends will stay in the loop through every milestone session.

Folder Details: From search to sale in a flash.
We all want clients to have a smooth experience navigating our website and galleries. Making things easier to find and the search process easier to understand means we are less likely to get that 10 pm text of “Last week’s soccer photos are where, again?”.
- Edit folder titles to give clear context.
- Customize and format folder descriptions with rich text such as bold and italics. You can even add hyperlinks too!
- Guide clients on what to search for (like names, bib numbers, or event keywords).
- And yep, it helps with SEO, too! Your galleries will be even easier for search engines to find.
Whether you’re photographing several 200-kid track & field meets throughout the season, or capturing a little one’s first year, improved findability and user-friendly navigation will translate into a great customer experience, and even better…more sales!

Single Image Pricing: Because not all photos are created equal.
As photographers, we know that no two images carry the same weight. Some shots carry more meaning or significance, some take more effort to capture or edit, and some are just more in demand with our clients.
Instead of using a one-size-fits-all pricing approach, you now have the flexibility to assign custom prices or product options to specific images. Maybe you’d like to charge a bit more for the noteworthy portraits from a wedding, while keeping the reception candids at a more accessible or standard cost. Or perhaps certain team photos only make sense printed as panoramas. Here, you can guide clients to the best option without extra explanation, and without the risk of them choosing a print size that cuts out part of the image.
If you’re working with a large number of images, keyword tagging makes it easy to apply pricing adjustments in bulk, saving you time and keeping things organized. This feature is about giving you more control over how your work is presented and how your work is sold.
