New in Zenfolio: Team media tracking, clearer Self-fulfillment checkout, and price list reordering.
October 16th, 2026
Built around how you actually run your business.
If you sell prints and products on NextZen, you know how the workarounds pile up. The single note field you cram an athlete’s name and jersey number into. The best seller stuck at the bottom of your shop because it was the last product you added. The spreadsheet your studio keeps to track who uploaded what.
This round of updates goes after those workarounds directly. Clients get an easier way to buy Self-fulfillment packages. You decide the order products appear in your shop categories. And studios on Team Member Management can now see what each team member contributes, without the spreadsheet.
Here’s what shipped, and what it changes for your business.
Who this is for:
- Photographers in any genre who fulfill their own orders (exclusively or in combination with integrated lab products).
- Photographers selling through price lists on NextZen who want their shop to lead with the products they most want to sell.
- Multi-photographer studios and agencies on Team Member Management who need to see which team member uploaded what.
- Volume photographers running sports, schools, dance, and events, where packages are the core of how you sell.
- Wedding and portrait photographers selling personalized products that need names, dates, or engraving details.
If any of that sounds like your week, these updates were built with you in mind.
Team Member Management: Media tracking and attribution.
See every team member’s contribution at a glance.
For studios and multi-photographer businesses, this release brings a foundational update to Team Member Management. The redesigned team member page shows what each team member has contributed, so account owners and admins can see team activity in one place instead of piecing it together from spreadsheets and check-ins.
- A redesigned team member page with photo and video counts per member.
- An exportable team overview snapshot for internal reporting and performance conversations.
- Team member metadata embedded in photos, with search by team member for account owners and admins.
Why it matters: Multi-photographer studios get a clear record of who is contributing what, ready to export whenever a report or review calls for it.
Self-Fulfillment: a clearer buying experience for your clients.
The goal of this update is to make your shop experience smoother for the people receiving your galleries: the parents and families buying your packages. When a client can’t tell what is in a package, or guesses wrong on a note field, you end up with more abandoned carts and time spent correcting orders.
- Package displays that show what is actually included. Variants are clear, and images that are part of a product are now accounted for, so clients see exactly what they are buying.
- Note fields with instructions. Add a prompt like “Enter athlete’s first name” so clients know what to type.
- Multiple note fields per product. Capture a name, jersey number, and engraving without forcing it all into one box.
- Optional notes now appear during package purchases, instead of staying hidden at checkout.
The outcome: fewer “what does this include?” questions from clients during your busiest weekends, and cleaner orders that let you self-fulfill without chasing follow-up details.

Price list reordering: your best sellers, front and center.
Until now, products showed up in your client shop in the order you added them to a price list. If your most popular print was the last thing you set up, that’s where clients found it: at the bottom. Self-fulfilled and Product Builder products also sat in their own sections of the price list editor, even though clients see them inside Prints, Wall Art, or Digital.
Now you choose what clients see first, and your price list editor matches your shop.
- Rearrange mode. Drag products into place in the price list product view, and clients see that exact order within each category. It works for lab products, self-fulfilled products, Product Builder items, and digital downloads.
- Keep your sizes together. Move a lab product to another subcategory within the same main category. If you only sell an 8×10 in Small Prints, move it into Large Prints with the rest of your sizes, so clients aren’t clicking into a subcategory that holds one product.
- Self-fulfilled products where clients see them. They now appear in Prints, Wall Art, Digital, or Specialty, with a tag that marks them as self-fulfilled. Each one moves as a single unit with all of its sizes.
- Product Builder items in every category they belong to. An item can appear once under Prints and once under Digital, each listing showing only that category’s options and pricing, with an “Also in…” link to its counterpart.
- A different order for each price list. Lead with different products in each one, and reset to the lab’s default order anytime.
Products stay within their main category, so a print won’t end up in Wall Art, and you still set category order in the Design tab.
The outcome: a shop that opens with what you most want to sell, arranged around how you actually sell instead of the order products happened to be added.

What’s next:
We’re continuing to build across selling and team management, with more planned in upcoming releases. Each of these updates is live in NextZen now, and the Help Center walks through them step by step.
What we love about these updates.
- Control where clients can see the difference. Whether it’s a Saturday of team photos or one family session, your shop leads with the right products and your note fields collect the details you need.
- Feedback, delivered. These updates answer things photographers have worked around and requested: guessed-at note fields, best sellers buried at the bottom of the shop, and spreadsheets to track uploads.
- Visibility that grows with your team. Account owners and admins can see each team member’s uploads without needing to contact them.
